Gels

These extreme gels are developed and manufactured by Krista Paulitti together with the latest AI technology and a renowned gel manufacturer in Europe.

KP gels are registered products and are manufactured in EUROPE, in accordance with the EU cosmetics regulation REACH. (EU) 2024/197) and cosmetics GMP (ISO 22716:2207)

KP gels are developed and manufactured for the special area of extreme nail building. These gels are characterized by various exceptional properties.

Nail modeling is the artificial lengthening and strengthening of human finger and toenails.

Gel in general:
Gel nails are fingernails that are artificially embellished and processed using gel technology. The gel consists of a UV-LED reactive modeling plastic that hardens under UV/LED light. Due to its comparatively easy handling, it is the most widely used method of reinforcement and lengthening in Central Europe. The nail designer has his own curing device (UV / LED light) into which the customer places his hands with the nails previously modeled with gel. The gel hardens in a few minutes under the development of heat.
Colorful gels and other decorations such as Swarovski or various inserts can be incorporated into the liquid gel, as the modeling gel remains workable for a long time until it is placed in the hardening device. Most gels are resistant to solvents and require milling to remove.
But there are also variants (soak-off gels) that can also be removed with acetone.

Extension using KP-Nailforms technology.
When modeling with a nailform, the nail designer attaches (glues) a Kristapaulitti nailform flush under the natural nail in order to model the extension on the nails. The appropriately selected material is applied to the template. After it has hardened, the template is removed and the modeled nail is filed with a cutter or hand file and then sealed with a top coat or by polishing. The advantage of the polished method is the more natural look.

The use of a template to be stuck under the nail goes back to Thomas S. Slack.

Natural nail reinforcement.
With natural nail reinforcement, only your own, naturally grown nail is covered with a layer of modeling plastic to protect it.

Refill.
After 3 to 4 weeks, the part of the nail that has grown out has to be filled in due to the shifted statics, the so-called stress point and the unsightly base. To do this, the extended nail is shortened accordingly to ensure a constant length, the transition to the natural nail that has grown out is smoothed and re-covered with the appropriate material and filed into shape.
Topping up or refilling is known colloquially as refilling. When refilling, it is important to repair damaged areas. Before applying the gel, a degreasing agent called a primer is applied, as this is crucial for binding the gel to the natural nail.
